Our 2016 Estate TRIO is a blend of the three Bordeaux varietals we grow – Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

We created this blend to offer a wine that is approachable sooner, but which still has the great complexity and structure that Howell Mountain wines offer. The 2016 TRIO offers intense red fruits – plum, cherry and cranberry. Subtle toasty notes are balanced and integrated tannins support a great acidity on the palate, giving a lingering finish. Secondary notes of mocha and savory dried herbs mingle with moderate alcohol and a pronounced refreshing acidity that lingers on the palate.
